VOLUNTEERING & PLACEMENTS WITH RASASC

Are you interested in being a volunteer with us?

At RASASC we have a long history of working with volunteers. We believe that Volunteers are vital in supporting the work we do with those who are, or have been, affected by rape or sexual abuse and we are keen to continue developing our volunteer program to reflect this.

We now have a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator who is responsible for recruiting and supporting any volunteers who come and join us, if you are interested in speaking to her about any of our volunteering roles or have any questions please call Molly on 0330 3630063.

All volunteers with us at RASASC will receive induction training relevant to their role and more intensive group training which will take place throughout the year. Due to the nature of our work we require that all volunteers are aged over 18 and that they undertake a compulsory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

RASASC has several offices across Cheshire and Merseyside including:

Currently there are several ways in which you could volunteer and support our work:

Fundraising Volunteer

Fundraising Volunteers will be responsible for raising funds for our local offices, as well as raising vital funds for the work that we are doing across the whole of Cheshire and Merseyside. You will be representing RASASC in your local community and may be required to set up fundraising events locally. The fundraising volunteers will be part of a small group of volunteers all working together to raise funds and awareness for the work that RASASC is doing.

Promotions and Events

Promotions and events volunteers will be working alongside and may form part of the fundraising team. We want people who are prepared to represent RASASC at local networking and community events in order to raise awareness for the work we do, as well as people who can be responsible for making sure that there are adequate leaflets and posters in the local communities we are part of.

Trustee/Board member

The board of trustees are collectively responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity. Day-to-day operational responsibility is delegated to the Operations Manager and staff members.

If you would like to apply for any of these roles please fill in our application form on this page and email it back to us. If you would like us to send you more information, or you would like an informal chat with our dedicated Volunteer Coordinator, please email support@rapecentre.org.uk or call 0330 3630063.
