As a leading provider of support for people who have experienced sexual violence we are looking to recruit individuals who are committed to working within this field and who want to make a difference to the lives of those affected by trauma. Specialist Counsellor

 Part Time 21 to 28 Hours per week (3 – 4 days)

 One Year Fixed Term

Ellesmere Port Office Based Therapy

Pay Scale: £26,780 – £30,380 pro rata dependent upon qualifications/experience

Essential Skills:

• Recognised professional qualification to Post Graduate Diploma level
• Eligible for Accreditation with BACP or equivalent governing body
• Experience of working therapeutically with trauma/survivors of sexual violence
• A clear understanding of the effects of sexual violence
• Experience of providing trauma focused interventions
• Experience of providing time limited counselling
• Understanding of and ability to provide psychoeducation & stabilisation techniques
• Ability to assess for risk and formulate treatment plans
• Experience of working with adolescents
• Evidence of continued professional development
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• A good level of IT skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft 365

Desirable Skills:

• Additional qualification in EMDR/CBT/Trauma Focused Therapy
• Experience of working therapeutically with children
